He continued studying acting with a focus on filmmaking\, and spent a year abroad at Middlesex University in London via SUNY Binghamton’s BFA program. He completed a stage manager/PA apprenticeship at the Powerhouse Theater at Vassar College\, working with prominent actors like Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell. His diverse training led him to pursue a career in Film/VO/Commercial casting. Diakeim Lyles has been a commercial casting for the last 23+ years and has worked independently with various casting houses in the New York area including: Brooke Thomas Casting\, Beth Melsky casting\, Envision Studios\, House Casting\, Allison Twardziak Casting\, David Vaccari and Liz Lewis Casting to name a few. He is also a private virtual acting coach and teaches commercial Audition technique at the New York film academy\,The New York conservatory for Dramatic arts and William Esper Studio to name a few. DESCRIPTION:The Wright Way introduces workshops and seminars as a valuable tool to enhance your learning experience. The Wright Way believes that pedagogical workshops assist in elevating one’s performance\, auditions\, and technique. \nAt times like this\, we must turn to each other to find ways to keep sharp on our auditions technique. So The Wright Way has created this NYC In-Person programming to help you stay connected and informed of what is current and needed in the entertainment industry. Alison Franck (New York Casting Director; A Christmas Story\, An American In Paris\, etc.) will be teaching for this particular one day program. We are excited to work with you. \nYour pianist/accompanist for this class will be Rachel Kaufman \nIndividuals interested in this program will be required to prepare multiple 1 – one minute to minute and a half Songs and/or Monologue\, fully memorized to work on. In other words bring something new or bring your up to date repertoire book. Each student will be given the chance to perform in a safe space and will be given notes and then able to present material again in a class setting.
