Alison Franck (New York Casting Director) and Rance Wright (New York Performance Coach) will be offering a class devoted to all things Audition Sides! They are excited to be inviting Dale Brown (New York Casting Director) into the conversation to help get real points of view and thoughts from those behind the table.
This forum will last about an hour long. So join on Thursday for what promises to be a very exciting hour about all things Audition Sides!

Dale Brown, CSA, Dale Brown is an independent casting director and educator. His 20+ years of casting spans all mediums and now focuses exclusively on theater. Recent New York work includes Life Jacket Theatre’s acclaimed production of America Is Hard to See at HERE (recently listed #1 at this year’s Edinburgh Festival) and the Drama Desk-nominated musical Daddy Long Legs by composer Paul Gordon and playwright John Caird. Regional credits include West Side Story, The Chinese Lady, & Things I Know To Be True (Milwaukee Rep.), Paul Gordon’s musical Sense & Sensibility (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Disgraced (Syracuse Stage}; In The Heights (Seattle Rep) and 2 Pianos 4 Hands (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park). In collaboration with Duncan Stewart & Co. Dale cast the new musical Nerds for the Philadelphia Theatre Company, the NYC lab production of Maltby & Shire’s new musical Waterfall, and a tour of Kathleen Marshall’s production of Anything Goes. Dale spent over 5 years with Tara Rubin Casting, maintaining the North American companies of The Phantom of the Opera and Billy Elliot and worked on the Broadway productions of A Little Night Music, Jesus Christ Superstar, Guys & Dolls and Old Jews Telling Jokes off-Broadway. Dale is on the faculty of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, additionally teaching his own audition workshops in NYC and for institutions across the United States. Dale is a member of the Casting Society of America and an honors graduate of Kalamazoo College & the BESGL Theater Program in London.

Alison Franck has been a casting director in NYC for over 20 years. She started as an assistant for many Broadway Productions, then she worked in film/TV for several years, then from 2000-2010, she was the Resident Casting Director at Paper Mill Playhouse. In 2011 she joined the team at Liz Lewis Casting Partners, where she cast commercials, voice-overs, film/TV, and theatre. Alison now runs her own company, Franck Casting, where she has currently cast several tours of well-known musicals including A Christmas Story, the Musical!, A Chorus Line, Legally Blonde & Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Upcoming Dreamgirls and An American in Paris tours.

RANCE WRIGHT received his MFA and MM from the Boston Conservatory and holds a BFA in Music, Dance, and Theatre from Brigham Young University. He is an accomplished performing art professional with over 20 years of experience as a consultant, casting director, manager, and artist. His most recent credits include associate casting the national tours of Guys and Dolls, Grinch, and A Christmas Story alongside NY casting veteran Alison Franck of Franck Casting. Rance also recently had his Fringe associate directorial debut in “A Step Beyond The Rain”. Rance currently guides acting for the stage and directs shows at the American Musical Theatre Academy in New York City.
In 2015 Rance created a performing arts program for Turn Community Services in Utah helping advance communication skillsets for adults with special needs. His unique style and creativity are the perfect combinations for very successful learning initiatives.
As a musical theatre artist, Rance’s credits include numerous Off-Broadway shows, National Tours, and regional productions.
Rance foresaw a need to help others gain a greater knowledge and understand- ing of their talent and art; that desire combined with his entrepreneurial spirit quickly lead to the birth of The Wright Way Coaching which is now a part of Wright Way Productions, LLC.
Rance’s personal and professional experiences along with his ability to see the talent and creativity in others have transcended his focus to furthering the knowledge and understanding of theatre, music, and dance for adults and young performers alike. Recognized professionally as one of the leaders in artists’ career development and utilizing “communication through theatre” for the personal advancement of professional artists and special needs adults are quickly becoming hallmarks of his career.
